The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of USTC established in 1998. Through over twenty years of unremitting efforts, it has been developed into a computer science department with strong scientific research and teaching accomplishments, and has developed great influence and reputation domestically. we have established collaborative relationships with many world-class universities and research institutions. We play an important role in national computer development— indeed, even in national economic development—through making significant contributions to our nation's progress in computer science and technology.
Computer science and Engineering is gaining momentum as a primary driver of globalization. It has become the backbone of science and technology growth, and has penetrated every aspect of social life. Computer science has proven to be a field of enormous challenges and even greater opportunities. We are determined to take a leading position in expanding its boundaries, through research and teaching of the highest quality. Our vision is that our research and our graduates will be at the forefront of the field,both at home and abroad.

On behalf of all our faculty, staff and students, welcome to the Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology (FSET), USTC.
It's a great time for students to pursue an engineering education at the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC).
As dean of the FSET, I’m extremely proud of the rich tradition of providing practical, experience-based engineering education that USTC has upheld since its founding. The faculty has achieved remarkable success and continues to foster its future with dynamic initiatives with modern curriculum, research activities, student engagement, professional training, faculty development, international collaborations, a state-of-the-art campus building, and university-industry collaboration towards. Fourth Industrial Revolution. The course curriculum is devised based on the ever changing needs of industry so that students are absorbed in industry smoothly and shine as proud alumni of USTC. USTC are expanding its global network of partner collaborative universities that span leading and QS ranked universities in Asia, America, Europe and Australia.The faculty also focus on professional development of students in order to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to play a leading role in different sectors of the industry through University-Industry Collaboration to become a JOB READY UNIVERSAL GRADUATE. Our academic and research programs prepare our students to become leaders with the moral depth and intellectual intensity necessary to meet the challenges of a time of digital transformation towards digital economy. Located in Chittagong, the commercial capital of Bangladesh the USTC offers unique opportunities for our students to engage with industrial companies and communities to catch the good job market.
