Farewell Ceremony of 38th Batch on 20 May, 2026 

On 20 May 2026, the Department of English proudly organised the Farewell Ceremony for the graduating students of the 38th Batch. The ceremony commemorated their academic achievements, contributions and memorable journey at the university.

The programme commenced with an inaugural session and a welcome speech by the Convener, Ms. Afifa Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of English, USTC. The event was further enriched by inspiring speeches delivered by distinguished university officials including the Director of URC, the Adviser of SWAC, the Director of Admission Affairs, the Director of IQAC, the Proctor, the Dean of FSSH, the Controller of Examinations and the Treasurer. Representatives of the graduating batch also delivered heartfelt speeches, reflecting on the experiences, challenges and cherished memories of their student life.

The formal session concluded with an address by Ms. Shaila Binte Sattar, Assistant Professor and Chairperson of the department, who conveyed her best wishes to the graduating students for their future endeavours. This was followed by the crest-giving ceremony, symbolising appreciation, recognition and the enduring bond between the department and its graduates.

The celebration continued with a vibrant cultural programme.
