Shaikat Das, a bright alumnus of the Department of English Language and Literature, USTC, commenced his tenure as a lecturer of English language and literature at USTC in June 2024. Before that, he contributed to USTC and BGC Trust University Bangladesh as an adjunct faculty of the English Department. Moreover, he has worked for OSUN (Open Society University Network), an international NGO, as an EAP (English for Academic Purposes) instructor.

By dint of his academic excellence, he was awarded the Honorable Dean’s Award at the 5th Convocation of USTC on 3rd May 2023. While doing his MA in TESOL at Brac University, he participated in various professional training programs and national and international conferences. Moreover, he has presented several papers and conducted joint workshops at such events. His research interest revolves around SLA (Second Language Acquisition), Post-pandemic innovations in ELT, and Education in the displaced contexts.
