The 46th batch orientation program of the CSE Department at University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) marked a vibrant beginning for a new generation of aspiring engineers and innovators. Held with great enthusiasm, the event warmly welcomed the incoming students and introduced them to the academic culture, values, and vision of the department.
The program was graced by the honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Solaiman, as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring speech, he emphasized the importance of dedication, integrity, and continuous learning in the rapidly evolving field of Computer Science and Engineering. He encouraged students to embrace challenges, engage in research, and contribute meaningfully to society through technological innovation.
The Special Guest, Prof. Dr. Nurul Absar, Treasurer of USTC, highlighted the university’s commitment to academic excellence and student development. He spoke about the significance of discipline and perseverance in achieving both academic and professional success.
The event was also honored by the presence of Dilip Kumar Barua, Registrar (IC), who welcomed the new students and assured them of the university administration’s full support throughout their academic journey.
The program was chaired by Mohammad Zainal Abedin, Associate Professor and Chairman (IC) of the CSE Department. In his address, he introduced the department’s faculty members, academic curriculum, research opportunities, and extracurricular activities.
