Dr. Khandakar Md. Rayhanul Kabir joined the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology as a Senior Lecturer on 1 April 2026. He obtained his PhD in Biotechnology from Kongju National University, Republic of Korea, where his research focused on Double Haploid plant production and Genetic Diversity Analysis. He completed both his MSc and BSc in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. His MSc thesis was conducted at the Food Microbiology Department of BCSIR, Dhaka, with a focus on investigating the antimicrobial properties of lactic acid bacteria. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Kabir gained extensive professional experience in both research and industry, particularly in Industrial Fermentation, Molecular Diagnostics & Pharmacogenetics, and Agricultural Biotechnology. His academic and professional background reflects a strong integration of research and practical applications in the field of Biotechnology.
