Guardian Meet & Student Appreciation 2026

“On 18 May 2026, the “Guardian Meet & Student Appreciation 2026” program was held at Room 601 of Block-D of USTC under the initiative of the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurial Sciences (FBES) of the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC). Basically, this program was organized to recognize and honor the extraordinary academic success of the students who have achieved a CGPA of 3.75 or above.

The event created a festive and inspirational atmosphere in the presence of students, guardians, and all the teachers of the faculty. The main objective of this arrangement was to honor the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of the students and to further strengthen the university’s relationship with the guardians. At the same time, guardians got the opportunity to know about their children’s educational progress and future plans.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Solaiman, Vice-Chancellor of USTC, was present as the Chief Guest at the event. Besides, Professor Dr. Nurul Absar, Treasurer of USTC; Mr. Dilip Kumar Barua, Registrar of USTC; Dr. Hadayet Ullah, IQAC Director, Associate Professor & Dean, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology; Fahmida Ahmed, Associate Professor & Chairman, Department of Finance & Banking; Chandra Das, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration; and Dr. Mohammad Shahabuddin, URC Director, Associate Professor, Department of Finance & Banking were present as Special Guests.

The event was presided over by Mr. Rupam Chowdhury, Chairman and Associate Professor of DBA, FBES, USTC, and the convener of the event was Mrs. Lutfun Nahar, Assistant Professor of DFB, FBES, USTC. They highlighted the importance of mutual cooperation among teachers, guardians, and students for the academic and personal development of the students.

At the final stage of the program, awards were presented to the meritorious students, and thanks were expressed to all the attending guests, guardians, teachers, and students. This successful arrangement has created a new enthusiasm among the students and further strengthened the relationship of the university with the guardians, which clearly highlights USTC’s commitment to improving educational quality and student development.”
