Profile

Md. Nayeem Islam is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC). He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology from the University of Chittagong, graduating with First Class and Second Position in each. In recognition of his academic excellence, he received the UGC Merit Scholarship. Mr. Islam has also demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills, winning several debate championships. His research interests center on Gender Studies, Medical Sociology, and Environmental Sociology, focusing on how environmental change, public health, and gender dynamics intersect in vulnerable Bangladeshi communities. He is dedicated to advancing sociological knowledge that promotes social equity and public well-being.
