The BBA 1st Semester (Section A) students of the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurial Sciences (FBES), University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), successfully organized a Community Development Program on 9 June 2026 as part of their semester project.
The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Solaiman, Honorable Vice Chancellor, USTC, who highly appreciated the students’ humanitarian initiative and emphasized the importance of social responsibility, ethical values, and community engagement in higher education.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Mohammad Sahabuddin, Director, USTC Research Cell (URC), and Associate Professor, Department of Finance and Banking, FBES, USTC. He highlighted the importance of connecting classroom learning with real-life social challenges to foster empathy, leadership, and civic responsibility among students.
A key highlight of the event was the distribution of seasonal fruits, including mangoes and lychees, among poor, helpless, and underprivileged people. Through this initiative, the students demonstrated compassion, social responsibility, and a strong commitment to community welfare.
This program reflects USTC’s ongoing commitment to developing not only skilled graduates but also responsible, ethical, and socially conscious citizens.
