Profile

Nafisa Tabassum is a researcher in Medical Physics, Nuclear Physics, and Particle Physics, with a strong academic and professional background. She obtained her B.Sc. (Honours) and M.S.(Thesis) in Physics from the University of Chittagong, where she ranked First Class 2nd in her B.Sc. and completed her M.S.(Thesis) with distinction (CGPA 4.00/4.00), securing First Class 1st Position. For her academic excellence, she received the S.N. Nahar Prize as the best undergraduate student for achieving first position in the 3rd year B.Sc. examination, the UGC Scholarship for her Honours results, and the NST Fellowship under the Ministry of Science and Technology. Alongside academics, she has actively participated in co-curricular activities such as debate, dance, anchoring at prestigious events, and event organization, demonstrating leadership and communication skills. Her research interests include radiation dosimetry, nanotechnology applications in medical physics, and high-energy physics.

Nafisa Tabassum is currently pursuing an M.Phil. degree in Physics at the Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET). She is also serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC).
