Tayab Moin is a Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Science and Technology, Chittagong (USTC). He is deeply committed to advancing scientific research and contributing to both community development and global progress in the life sciences.
Moin holds an M.S. (Thesis) and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Chittagong, graduating with first-class results in both degrees. His master’s research focused on molecular genetics, immunogenetics, and clinically relevant biomedical investigations.
As an accomplished early-career researcher, Moin’s interests span immunology, oncology, infectious diseases, and bioinformatics. He received the Best Student Researcher Award from the University of Chittagong in 2021, 2022 and 2023 for his outstanding academic and research achievements. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, he authored more than 20 research and review articles in reputable international journals, including several Q1 journals such as Nature Scientific Reports, PLOS ONE, ASM Microbiology Spectrum, OUP Journal of Leukocyte Biology, multiple Frontiers journals, and Computers in Biology and Medicine etc., marking a significant milestone within his institution.
He has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences, earning multiple awards for excellence. Dedicated to continuous learning, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration, Moin aims to build a strong global research network and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of life sciences, public health, and biomedical innovation.
