Dr. Muhammad Asad Uz Zaman is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Science & Technology Chittagong (USTC), Bangladesh. He earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, USA, and has extensive experience in organic and bioorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical research and development, and production sciences. His research includes the design of DNA cross-linking agents with controlled activation mechanisms and ROS-triggered prodrugs for targeted anticancer applications—work published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international scientific forums.
Before joining USTC, Dr. Zaman served as an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where he advanced expertise in in silico toxicological assessment and experimental evaluation of endocrine activity related to medical device chemicals. His industry experience includes pharmaceutical product development at ACI Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he led formulation development efforts.
