Profile

Ms. Joya Datta Ripa, currently working as a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy from April 30, 2023. She completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Science and Technology Chittagong in the year 2020 and has been awarded with Chancellor’s Gold Medal and National Professor Dr. Nurul Islam Gold Medal Awards because of her outstanding academic excellence. Subsequently, she completed her Master of Science (M.S.) in an advanced and research-based subject, Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (with thesis) from the University of Dhaka in the year 2023. During her post-graduation, she received the prestigious National Science and Technology (NST Fellowship) from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, and the Centennial Research Grant (2021-2022) from the University of Dhaka. She has expertise in Computer-aided Drug design, Molecular Mechanics and Quantum Chemistry, Bioinformatics, and Molecular Biology Tools and Techniques Her research interests are focused on tackling the molecular mechanisms of disease through a combined wet-dry lab research approach with chem-bioinformatics and animal model study.
