Profile

Muhammad Joynul Abedin, a PhD candidate at the distinguished School of Humanities, University of Science Malaysia (USM), a QS top-ranked institution, commenced his tenure as an Associate Professor of Literature and Cultural Studies at USTC in October 2023. With an impressive fourteen-year career in academia, Mr. Abedin has previously contributed his expertise to esteemed institutions like Prime University, Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, and East West University.  

His scholarly contributions extend to reputable international journals, including those indexed by Web of Science Clarivate, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. Mr. Abedin’s intellectual prowess is further demonstrated through presentations at academic conferences held at HERSO, Pune, India; USM, Penang; and UniSZA, Terengganu, Malaysia.

Mr. Abedin’s academic journey has been marked by notable achievements, such as receiving the ‘Remarkable Performance’ award at the World Literature Center, Dhaka, in 2002 while participating from Notre Dame College. Demonstrating a commitment to innovative research, his notable works encompass a subaltern reading of Manik Bandaphdhay in Translation, a Marxist interpretation of Eugene O’Neill, as well as explorations into postmodern identity, identity politics, and family dynamics in contemporary American playwrights.
