Profile

Md. Nurul Anwar is primarily an academic, but he is also a philosopher, poet and critic. He is currently a full time Assistant Professor of English in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Science and Technology Chittagong, Bangladesh, having more than nine years of experience in teaching English language and literature at top ranking universities in Bangladesh ― NSU, IUB, UIU and BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology. He was also an Assistant Professor of English at United International University (UIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He taught a range of courses in literature and language. Some of which include a range of literature courses from Classical Literature in Translation to Medieval to Postcolonial literature along with courses in Western Philosophy and Theoratical Linguistics. He also taught language courses to the beginners such as speaking and Writing, Intermediate Composition, Business English, Advanced Writing, Intensive English, Certificate English Proficiency to Adults, Teaching and Research Methodologies, Critical Thinking and Reading etc. He is passionate about research, and published seven research works, some of which are in Scopus-Indexed journals. He follows a student-centered approach to teaching where students get the opportunity to learn by themselves through practical demonstration and critical thinking. He believes in critical thinking where students learn to be critical of language and education.
