Sarowar Morshed Shawon is an Assistant Professor at the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), with expertise in Precision Agriculture (PA), Smart Grid Technologies, Machine Learning (ML), and the Internet of Things (IoT). He holds both Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (BEngSc.) and a Master of Engineering by Research (MEngSc.) from Multimedia University, Malaysia. Sarowar’s research focuses on leveraging AI and IoT to address critical challenges in agriculture and energy systems. In Precision Agriculture, he works on innovative solutions for Soil-Water Interaction Analysis and Crop Yield Prediction, integrating advanced ML and DL techniques with IoT-driven frameworks to enhance agricultural efficiency and sustainability. In the energy domain, his expertise lies in developing state-of-the-art ML and DL-based frameworks for Electrical Load Forecasting, contributing to smarter, more resilient energy grids. He has successfully secured research project grants aimed at advancing sustainable technologies in both Agriculture and Energy. Sarowar has published numerous articles in reputable journals and conferences, sharing his insights on topics ranging from smart grid optimization to data-driven agricultural solutions.
