Profile

Dr. Zannatun Nayema joined USTC in 2023 as Lecturer of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Dr. Nayema received her PhD degree in 2023 from Kanazawa University, Japan. Prior to that, also worked as an M.S. exchange student at the Nara Women's University, Japan. She completed her B.Sc. and M.S. degree from the department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEB), University of Chittagong (CU), Bangladesh. She actively worked in acquisition for Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Kakenhi B) from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). She was awarded Prime Minister gold medal and academic excellence award in 2016 for highest result in her B.Sc (Hons.). She was awarded different scholarships including Japanese Government MEXT, JASSO, NIPS, Chittagong Education Board scholarships. She is the Life member of International Society of Biocuration (ISB).
