The faculty of Science, Engineering, and Technology (FSET) of USTC has organized a week-long “FSET Cricket League 2022” at the campus premises. This exciting tournament was arranged by the students of FSET. Md. Shahadat Hossain, HoD, Dept. of EEE inaugurated this tournament.
The tournament was held on 06 November 2022. A total of Five teams of FSET including CSE and EEE participated in the tournament. Along with the students, the honorable teachers of the FSET also participated in this tournament. The cricket ground had been well prepared to mark the occasion. All the teams played excellently well throughout the tournament and no one was being able to mark out till the end that would win definitely.
After battling out, two teams “Team Chaos” and “Mighty Spartans” reached the final, which took place on 09 November 2022. Winning the toss, Mighty Spartans decided to field first. Team Chaos had a good start and scored 70 runs. In reply, Mighty Spartans batsmen started well. But the fielding performance of Team Chaos made it hard for the Spartans. Team Chaos won the match by 10 runs and became the Champion of the tournament.
Honorable faculties, who were also the guests of the closing ceremony, presented the Champion’s trophy to Team Chaos. Other awards such as the Runner-up Trophy, Man of the match of every match, Man of the tournament, etc. were also given to appreciate their efforts.
