FBES Hosts MBA and MBM Orientation Program for January 2026 session

“The University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) organized the MBA and MBM Orientation Program Session for the January 2026 intake on 6 February 2026 at 5:00 PM in Room 601, Level 6, Block D. The program was arranged by the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurial Sciences (FBES), Department of Finance and Banking, with the aim of formally welcoming newly admitted students and introducing them to the academic and professional journey ahead.

The session was graced by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Solaiman, Vice Chancellor of USTC, as the Chief Guest, whose presence added significance to the event. Prof. Dr. Nurul Absar, Treasurer of USTC, attended as the Guest of Honor, while Mr. Dilip Kumar Barua, Registrar of USTC, joined the program as the Special Guest. The session was chaired by Ms. Fahmida Ahmed, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Finance and Banking, FBES, USTC.

The program began with a welcome speech by Dr. Mohammad Arif, Assistant Professor of Business Administration, who warmly greeted the new students and highlighted the importance of postgraduate business education in developing analytical, leadership, and ethical decision-making skills. He encouraged students to make the most of academic resources and faculty guidance available at USTC.

A detailed overview of the MBA and MBM programs was presented by Mr. Maruf Ahmed, Lecturer, Department of Finance and Banking, who explained the program structure, course requirements, evaluation methods, and career prospects associated with the degrees.

The event was smoothly hosted by Lecturer Labony Akther from the Department of Business Administration, whose engaging moderation kept the session lively and well-structured.

Adding a practical dimension to the orientation, adjunct faculty members also took part in the session and shared their professional and teaching experiences with the newly admitted students. Their insights into industry expectations, classroom learning, and career development provided valuable guidance and motivation for the fresh intake.
