The Department of English at the University of Science and Technology (USTC) organized its Monthly Seminar Series (DE) on 5 May 2026 in Room No. 1603. The seminar was held from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM.
In this session, Ms. Eshita Khanam Karu, Assistant Professor, Department of English, USTC, delivered an insightful lecture titled “AI Ethics for Students.” The session was chaired by the Chairperson of the Department, Ms. Shaila Binte Sattar, who offered thoughtful remarks on the implications of ethical approaches to artificial intelligence.
Md. Nurul Anwar, Assistant Professor, Department of English, USTC, also delivered an engaging speech highlighting the practical applications of AI tools in everyday life and beyond. The seminar was moderated by Afifa Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of English, USTC, who skillfully anchored the entire session.
The seminar was enriched by the presence of all faculty members of the department. Students of the Department of English participated enthusiastically and gained valuable lessons for articulating the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence.
